Draft article for local review. Instructions may change before release.
Authorized graph stewards can open Operations contributions on the Brands graph page. This replaces the old store-entered brand-name review. A store-created brand already belongs to the graph, so it is no longer an unmatched name waiting for promotion.
The view includes brands, product lines and items, with their original creators and latest contributors. Filter by type, review status, name, creating organization/user and contribution dates. Unreviewed is the default. Merged and retired entries remain available through the status filter, with action history.
Shared entries are available before review. Reviewing is optional and creates no tasks. Organization membership alone does not grant stewardship access.
Reviewed
Choose Reviewed after looking at an entry. It leaves the default list without changing availability or claiming that an official source certified it. A later shared descriptive contribution returns it to Unreviewed. Private note edits do not.
If the entry changed after it was displayed, refresh and look at the latest values first.
Correct
Choose Correct to fix names and applicable descriptions, websites or standard cigar details. Enter a reason, choose Review change, compare current and proposed values, acknowledge the effect, then confirm. Known fields require a replacement; blank fields do not silently erase known facts.
Corrections preserve the original creator, older values and attribution. Previous names remain searchable aliases.
Merge
Choose Merge for two entries that represent the same identity. Search for an existing retained entry, enter a reason and review both records and the proposed result. Retained values win where populated; source details fill missing fields.
Brand merges retain individual product-line identities. Lines must have the same brand before they can be merged. Items must have matching category, brand and product line; resolve parent duplicates first. Self-merges and incompatible targets are blocked.
A merge redirects old identities and names to the retained record. It does not combine private inventory items, packages, costs, pricing rules or stock. An organization that had both records retains its separate commercial bindings until it explicitly decides how to reconcile its own pricing configuration.
Retire
Choose Retire for an identity that should no longer appear in new selections. Enter a reason, review the affected references, acknowledge and confirm.
Retirement preserves existing inventory references, prices, packages, stock and completed transaction history. Existing inventory remains manageable. It does not deactivate checkout, adjust stock or automatically retire every child product.
Every correction, merge and retirement is recorded with the steward, reason, before/after values and time. If a record or its references change during review, refresh the preview before confirming.
